What were your first impressions of the Companion SOS Watch?

“Another good looking watch. I had a Companion Wellbeing Watch for 2 years and wanted a change, so Companion bought back my old watch and I put the refund towards a new SOS watch.

The SOS watch has a quality feel and is really comfortable.  Its made even easier with the magnetic loop (https://www.companion.technology/product-page/magnetic-strap)because I have difficulty with strap buckles.

The large display shows the time clearly. even on a sunny day or in bed at night.

Explain your experience from ordering your watch, to wearing it

I spoke to my Companion Advisor who got my new SOS watch delivered before I sent the old Wellbeing watch back.

The watch arrived ready to wear as all my contacts and alerts were already setup.
I simply pressed the watch power button and it was ready to wear.

The old watch was sent back to Companion who gave me a recycling refund, which went towards the new SOS Watch purchase. They even gave me 1 months free subscription as it was a new watch.

Do you use your watch in the bath and shower?

My Companion SOS Watch in waterproof and so I wear it in the bathroom.

I dry it with a towel so its not damp on my skin afterwards.

What is the battery life like?

I get about a week between charges.

The watch shows a low battery alert on the watch display and it also sends me an SMS message to say it needs charging.

Have you made an SOS telephone call through the watch?

Yes, the watch is like a mobile phone and has a load speak and microphone built in.

The watch uses the best available network provider in the area at the time, so I can simply press the SOS button anywhere in the UK to connect and talk with my support contacts through the watch.

After the SOS call has ended, the watch will automatically answer incoming calls from support contacts & emergency services - if they need to speak to me.

How does it compare to your previous personal alarm?

I've been fortunate to have two Companion Watches, both of which are elegant and stylish.

The Companion SOS Watch has a better battery life than most Personal Alarm Watches.

I prefer the simplicity of this watch as I don't currently need all the features available in other smart watches.  The SOS watch simply provides me with a loud and clear telephone call with my family, if I ever need to press the SOS button.
